How do I apply for accommodation for a 44 week or 51 week academic year contract?

Click on the link to Book/Log in above, this will redirect you to our student portal. If you have not used the portal before, you will need to first register your details. You will then be sent a validation code by email to use to log back into the portal to validate your account. Once you have done this, click on Create New Application on the Applications section of the portal. Please select the relevant academic session and follow the steps to apply for your accommodation.

How do I apply for short term accommodation?

Follow the steps stated above to register your details, select the relevant academic session and choose the Short Booking option. You will then be able to amend the start date and end date in accordance to the dates you require accommodation on the Accommodation Preferences page.

I’ve been told to register to view my offer, but when I do it says ‘You currently have no bookings’.

If you haven’t applied via the student portal, you need to make sure that you enter the same details you entered when you applied otherwise a duplicate entry will be created on the system that won’t match your offer. If you cannot view your offer, please email broadgatepark@upp-ltd.com for assistance.

How do I view the status of my application/booking?

Application – Click on the Applications tab and check the Status in the table.

Booking – Click on the Contracts tab and check the Booking Status in the table.

I’ve forgotten my login ID/password, what do I do?

Your login ID will be the email address you used to register. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a new one by clicking on Request new password and entering your login ID on the student portal. A new password will be emailed to the same email address used as your login ID.


OTHER QUESTIONS

May I visit Broadgate Park?

You may certainly visit Broadgate Park. We have a Studio room (self contained) available for viewing all year round Monday to Friday 9-5.30pm. Broadgate Park will also be available for viewing during University of Nottingham Campus and UCAS open days.

Does the contract include vacation periods?

You do not have to move out during your contracted period. You may remain on site at Christmas and Easter.

Are the flats cleaned regularly?

Cleaning staff will clean communal areas once a week this includes stairwells, corridors, kitchens and bathrooms. Please note that bedrooms, en suites and studios will not be cleaned as they are not communal spaces. We will provide a communal vacuum cleaner for your use.

What’s in a communal kitchen?

Kettle, toaster, cooker, fridge/freezer, iron, ironing board, microwave, mop, bucket, brush, dustpan & brush, hoover, bin/recycle bin, sink bowl, sink drainer and a dining table/breakfast bar with chairs/stools.

What do I need to bring with me?

You will need to bring with you your bed linen. Bedding packs are available to purchase at a cost of £25.00 for a single size and £35.00 for a double size. These contain, a duvet, pillow, duvet cover, pillow case, fitted sheet, hand and bath towel.

You will also need to bring cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. If you wish to purchase these items when you arrive, the town of Beeston provides major high street stores just a 5 minute walk away.

Do I need a Television License?

You will need to purchase a Television License if you bring a television set. Please note you will also require a TV license if you use the IPTV service on your computer.

How much is the on site laundry?

Presently the launderette costs £2.00 for a wash and £1.00 for a tumble dry.

How soon will I find out if I have been allocated a room?

You will be contacted within two weeks following receipt of your application via email informing you whether your application has been successful.

May I specify preferences to my allocation?

You can specify preferences in the box marked ‘Special Requirements’ or ‘Additional Information’ if you are applying through the portal. We will endeavour to cater for your preferences wherever possible but be aware that we cannot guarantee this.

May I make a group booking?

We welcome group bookings at Broadgate Park and advise applicants to write the names of other students on their application. We also advise group bookings to apply together.

Who do I contact if I have not received my offer?

If you haven’t received an offer within three weeks of us receiving your application please contact us at broadgateparklettings@upp-ltd.com

What is the cancellation policy?

If after submitting the application form you decide not to proceed, an administrative fee of £50 will be deducted from your deposit. The balance of £200 will be returned to you within 28 days of UPP receiving your written withdrawal. Once you have accepted the License Agreement then the cancellation policy is operational as detailed in the Terms and Conditions, please read these carefully when you download the documentation.

How do I pay my deposit?

How do I apply for a car parking permit?

We have a limited number of car parking spaces and these are allocated on a priority basis based upon individual circumstances. If you wish to apply for a parking permit you should download the form from the Documents section of this website and return it to us with the required supporting documentation. We will process these forms on the date specified on the form and notify you of the result of your application at that time (an annual charge is applicable).

When do I find out where I’m going to be living?

You will be sent your Broadgate Park address by email two weeks before the contract start date.

Where can I find arrival information?

Essential arrival information will also sent by email to you two weeks before your contract start date.

How do I pay the accommodation fees?

The fees are to be paid in three termly instalments. If you require a different payment arrangement please contact the main office and ask to speak to the Finance Team.

When do I get my deposit back?

Your deposit will be refunded to you 28 days following the termination of your contract. A room check will be carried out to establish if any deductions need to be made.
