Frequently Asked Questions

If I leave my accommodation before the end of the licence do I still have to pay?

If you leave before the end of your licence you will remain liable for the full years rent
unless a suitable replacement is found for your room. We can add you to our seeking
replacement list, once you have completed a Vacating Residence form here, however it
is your responsibility to seek your own replacement. We advise that you advertise your
room on Gumtree, Unipol, Facebook, StuRent and Accommodation for students. If you
wish to discuss this process in more detail, please contact our accommodation team on
0115 681 0020 between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday.

What do I need to bring?
  • Bedding and Towels
    o Bed linen (fitted bed sheet, duvet, pillows and covers)
    o Hand towel
    o Bath towel
  • Cooking Equipment
    o Crockery (plate, bowl, mug and a glass)
    o Cutlery and cooking utensils (wooden spoon etc)
    o Saucepan/Frying pan
    o Baking tray
    o Tea towels
  • Other Essentials
    o Clothes hangers
    o Warm coat, hat, gloves and a scarf
    o Umbrella
    o Toilet paper
What time can I check in?

Arrival slots will be available to book from 8am to 6pm on the main arrival days. We will write
to you around mid-August with further instructions. If you are arriving outside of our main
arrival days, our reception is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, so there is always a member of
staff to welcome you and issue your room keys.

Where do I go on arrival?

If you are arriving over arrivals weekend please refer to the where to go on arrival email sent in early September. If you are arriving at any other time you can collect the keys from the Broadgate Park reception 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I am no longer attending the University, can I cancel?

If you have withdrawn from your course at the University of Nottingham please contact the
Accommodation Services Team with evidence of your withdrawal and for more information accommodationnottingham@upp-ltd.com.
